Gaskets

To run correctly, 2 cycle engines require a perfect seal in certain areas. Most companies use a gasket to make sure it’s air tight. Sometimes rubber O-rings, aluminum, brass shims or Mylar type paper is used.

You should be able to purchase replacement gaskets from the engines manufacturer. If for some reason they have been discontinued or you are in need of one quickly, you should know how to make one.

Tools needed:
Philips screw driver
Regular screw driver
Allen wench
Tooth brush
Denatured alcohol
Container (large enough to hold the engine without being oversized from side to side)
